Venture into the Untold

Do you know a global health story that deserves a broader audience? Here’s your chance! Along with NPR’s Goats and Soda blog and the Consortium of Universities for Global Health (CUGH), we invite you to nominate an issue you feel deserves urgent attention, whether you’ve worked on it firsthand or come across it in your travels.

NPR's Goats and Soda or GHN will each select a winner and send a journalist to cover the story. Remember: The best nominations are specific (i.e., not global chronic disease) and include available data, and contacts to help tell the story.

Also: Keep an eye out for GHN’s coverage of one of the 2018 winners, Hemophilia in Developing Countries, which we’ll be publishing this fall. You can also check out our stories from past winners, including Blazing Injustice: The Hidden Crisis of Burn Injuries in Nepal, covered by Joanne Silberner, and Bitter Harvest: Cassava and Konzo, the Crippling Disease and Mycetoma: The Most Neglected Disease by Amy Maxmen.
